Describing Events in a Personal Voice

Fastwrite: I asked you to read the essays in Franzen by Junger, Kipnes, Kisner, Lange, and Sacks. Please locate a brief passage in one of these pieces that is not an “I” passage—that doesn’t seem centered on what the writer feels or thinks or has experienced—but that nonetheless impresses you.
