Writing: Class Picks

Emily and Eric have modeled exactly what I’d like you to do for your class pick: They’ve selected interesting nonfiction pieces, briefly described what they are about, and explained what draws them to the writing. In class on Friday, I will ask each of them to bring us to a passage in their piece that they find especially compelling and to say why. And then we’ll talk as a group about them.

The one change  I would like to make is to ask you to post your selection to this site by 10:00 am of the morning we are scheduled to talk about it. (This means that the actual deadline for Alaina, Braci, and Charlotte will be Sunday, 4/16, at 10:00 am. I hope this is workable.) This will give the rest of us a full day to read and think about the pieces.

I’m eager to see what sort of group of writings we assemble together!
